Dr. Kent Westbrook attended the first service at Chenal Valley Church more than 20 years ago and became one of its first elders. He's been a cancer surgeon, educator and administrator at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences for 50 years, and he was instrumental in the creation of the Winthrop Rockefeller Cancer Institute at UAMS. He and his wife, Jonnie, married in 1961 and have three children — September, Coleman and Fara — and seven grandchildren. He's a graduate of the University of Arkansas and UAMS.

After several moves to various locations, he and his family settled in the Little Rock, Arkansas area in 1998. Roger has been involved as a life group leader for several years and was blessed to become a shepherd of Chenal Valley Church in the spring of 2013.
