Meditate On This: Don Williams

This past Sunday, we had the privilege of hearing from Don Williams. Don is an evangelist at River City Church in North Little Rock. To learn more about the work

that River City Church is doing, you can visit

In our time with Don, we heard about the life of someone who cares about others. As Don shared stories and experiences, one thing really stood out: Don’s life focus is on

Jesus and sharing that love with others. One of the passages that Don shared was from Philippians 1, where Paul shares his thankfulness for being able to work with God’s

people. This is an important reminder as we serve and share the Gospel with others- it’s something that we should be thankful for. I am so glad that Don’s life is a testimony to the joy in serving others.

The other passage that Don used was the one that Emelie Hastings read, Matthew 28:6-7. It’s easy for us to look at that passage and anchor it to Easter Sunday, but it also presents a powerful call to action. If we too have been raised from our old lives, we have something to share. If we believe this, then it should transform us into new people. New people have a joy that this world needs to know about. And that is exactly what Don and Deanne have been doing. They are joyfully going wherever God leads them and sharing the Gospel along the way!
