Eddie & Katherine Creighton

I graduated from the University of Arkansas and taught school at Hot Springs Central and Little Rock Central before moving to Melbourne to be in the Ford business for the next 35 years. Katherine graduated from Arkansas State Teachers College (Now University of Central Arkansas) and taught school in Little Rock and Melbourne before retiring after more than 30 years.

Katherine and I met while teaching in Little Rock. We were married in 1967 and have two children, Ren Creighton and Jill Childers.

We were active in the Melbourne church where we both taught. I served as a deacon for years and song leader for about 35 years.

We moved back to Little Rock in 2000 to be near the kids and grandkids. We started at Chenal Valley Church in 2000 because our kids were both members at Chenal. We fell in love with this church because both our kids loved it here and finding a church where our children were involved was of first importance to us. We were at home at Chenal Church and loved the openness and diversity of this congregation. We soon became involved with our life group and have been for about 17 years. Over the years we have developed many close friendships through life group.

It has been my honor and pleasure to serve as one of your elders for the last fifteen years.

What you may not know about our family is that Katherine keeps the tradition of her mother and grandmother alive by preparing a large meal almost every Sunday. We average about 15 people each week including grandkids and adopted kids and grandkids. Katherine and I both believe that this tradition helps keep our family close. Anna, Annabelle and I love to sing and play piano while Katherine gets Sunday dinner ready.
